My refund/replacement request was denied because a single piece of hardware in Jack hasn’t needed to be replaced four times. That’s ridiculous, if you ask me. I would understand them denying me, if I have only a few things replaced. That just isn’t the case though. I have sent him in soooo many times. I’ve lost count. Almost every piece of hardware in him has been replaced multiple times. I was really upset with being denied, but finally convinced myself that I would be okay with him just getting fixed. He didn’t even get fixed. They sent him back in the same condition he was when I sent him in. Apparently, there was water damage, and until the water damage is fixed my warranty won’t cover the repair. The service center said it would cost about $300 to fix the water damage. I adamantly denied. I don’t currently have $300 to repair him, and if I did, I most definitely wouldn’t use it to repair him. I would use it to replace him. Having him has been bittersweet. I won’t be sad to seem him to go. That’s the awful truth.
It’s been almost three months since we have moved into our house. It feels so great to be living in a house again! Having a house may be a lot more work than an apartment, but it is definitely worth it in the long run. I will be even happier when we own the house. We’re currently renting and are hoping we can buy the house shortly after our lease ends at the end of June 2011. A few of my friends have already boughten houses, and I have to admit I am jealous of them.
Unfortunately, we have been having car problems. About two months ago, we had to get the shocks, struts, and the entire air intake replaced. The cost came to approximately $1200. I hate that we had to pay so much to get it fixed. What I hate even more is that even after paying all that money, we’re still having car problems. Our windshield wipers aren’t working (the windshield wiper light is on), our AC no longer works (it only blows hot air), and our car makes a really loud, vibrating-like noises when I start the car. It’s seems the car isn’t idling correctly. I can’t say for sure because I don’t know much about cars. I am not sure how much more money we’re going to have to put into our car to get it to run/function like it should, and a part of me doesn’t want to know.
Aside from having car problems, life is swell. I started my fourth semester of college a few weeks ago. This semester has so far been a very different experience for me. For the first time, I am going full-time and during the day (with the exception of my ASL 1010 class), and all of my class are the Weber State campus in Ogden. Before this semester, I had classes online and/or at the Davis campus. I am currently taking Psychology 1010, Anthropology 1000, Zoology 2100 (Human Anatomy), and ASL 1010. I am really enjoying my classes so far. Chrissy and I have Anthropology together, which I am so happy about. It’s our first and probably the only college class we’ll ever have together haha.
Now that I am attending classes during the day, I have to put Kairi in daycare. I was a little nervous at first. I wasn’t sure how well she would handle it. The first week was a little rough, but she adjusted pretty quickly. She rarely cries when I drop her off now. It makes dropping her off just that much easier. I’m so glad I decided to put Kairi in Daycare. It has has really helped Kairi. She has shown a lot of improvement. She’s not early as anxious as she used to be.
